Blood Donation Eligibility Criteria
Please read these eligibility guidelines carefully before registering as a blood donor on BloodWay.
Basic Eligibility Requirements
- ✅ Age must be between 18 and 65 years.
- ✅ Weight should normally be 50 kg or above.
- ✅ Must be in good general health.
- ✅ Must provide accurate registration details.
- ✅ Must have a valid mobile number and email address.
Before Donating Blood
- Get adequate sleep before donation.
- Eat a healthy meal before donating.
- Drink sufficient water.
- Follow the instructions provided by the blood bank or medical staff.
Temporary Reasons Not To Donate
- ⚠️ Fever, flu, cold, or active infection.
- ⚠️ Current antibiotic treatment.
- ⚠️ Recent surgery.
- ⚠️ Recent blood transfusion.
- ⚠️ Pregnancy or recent childbirth.
- ⚠️ Alcohol consumption within the previous 24 hours.
- ⚠️ Any medical condition where a doctor advises against blood donation.
Blood Donation Interval
- Male Donors: Minimum 90 days between donations.
- Female Donors: Minimum 120 days between donations.

By registering with BloodWay, you confirm that:
- The information you provide is true and accurate.
- You understand blood donation eligibility requirements.
- You consent to being contacted during blood emergencies.
- You will update your donor profile if your information changes.
- You understand that blood banks and doctors make the final decision regarding donation eligibility.
